Humanity is the point
We are pursuing superintelligence: systems that could exceed human capabilities across a broad range of intellectual work. That is a research ambition, not a capability we claim to have achieved.
The purpose is what matters. We want intelligence to help people discover, create, solve difficult problems, and shape their own lives. Progress should expand human possibility and reach beyond the organizations that build the technology.
Good intentions are not enough
Humanity deserves more than a mission statement. “Pro-human” has to show up in what gets built, who can benefit, what remains under human control, and who answers when something goes wrong. We want Omida to be judged by those choices.
Intelligence that understands the world
Our research direction connects world understanding, reasoning, learning, and agency. We are interested in systems that can form useful representations, consider consequences, adapt to new situations, and act with appropriate oversight.
More capability for people
People should be able to question an AI system, understand its limits, and retain meaningful control over decisions that affect them. Our ambition is to give people more agency as AI becomes more capable.
Progress that can be shared
Open models, developer infrastructure, and useful products are part of our long-term direction. We want the work to become something people can examine, adapt, and put to use. Access and safeguards need to be considered together, with decisions grounded in evidence.
The work today
Omida is early. Our public model and publication indexes will grow as research is ready to share. Simulation is one product from the lab; it does not define the limits of our mission.
